I can see that installing an ancient wm is a pretty annoying thing to
do to chase an obscure and non-fatal bug: there's a certain amount of
magic in .twmrc

I've only learned about Debian packaging on a need-to-know basis: so
after a bit of messing about have only managed to confirm what I'd
suspected, that the "sarge" gthumb won't install on my "etch" system
using any mechanism I understand (apt-get and dpkg, basically), and
I've never built a Debian package from source.

If a web reference on "upgrading just one or a few packages" exists,
I'd appreciate it.

Otherwise I guess this should just go on file so someone more clued up
than me can take a better look.
