On
Linux ubuntu 2.6.22-14-generic #1 SMP Sun Oct 14 21:45:15 GMT 2007 x86_64
GNU/Linux
with libsane version 1.0.19~cvs20070505-3ubuntu2
the scanner is working correctly. (I just tried it).

I remember scanning was OK on December 5th.
Then I did not try it again before the end of December (about 26th), then it
started failing.
Since I tried it on January 5th with Ubuntu LiveCD, as it was working, I was
sure it is not an hardware problem.

I am updating my "testing" configuration on an almost daily basis: an
arguable choice, still it may help you pinpoint when the problematic version
reached testing repository, and soon after, my computer.
I don't know how to display a package update history, if such an information
is kept.
So I cannot provide you with more accurate version info in the given range,
for the debian side.
I hope that the information about the ubuntu side will help corner the bug.

Thank you,
Best regards,
Vincent
