Sorry, I hadn't realized that an RC bug was waiting for this. Perhaps I didn't look carefully enough. I hadn't really looked at it carefully as ICU 3.8 is about to be released, and everyone is going to have to transition. (A "draft" release of 3.8 is already in experimental.) I was just going to incorporate the patch into my 3.8 upload to unstable rather than fixing 3.6. If you really need it sooner than that, I'd prefer to prepare the upload myself after studying the patch more carefully, but I would likely not get to it until later this week at the earliest, and more likely not until Saturday.
