The package https://packages.debian.org/sid/amd64/ukui-polkit installs
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/ukui-polkit/polkit-ukui-authentication-agent-1
and serves as a not very nice interface and does not adhere to the DE
theme. But it works fine when enabled.
Yet another choice!

FWIW I did a little survey on what the other distributions are doing;
Arch polkit-gnome
Fedora xfce-polkit
Mageia mate-polkit
Mandriva xfce-polkit
SuSE polkit-gnome
I don't now think that me attempting an MR for this bug (when opinions
differ as to what that should contain) is likely to help, and will just
slow things down.
Any dependency would solve the issue of users ending up with no
authentication agent. Choices have little downside,
as the agents don't do anything unless enabled,
and users having issues can always install something else.
