Dear Maintainers,

because I am not sure if the new WATCH file works (#1087686), please allow me
to mention that we at upstream do have a new stable release version 1.5.4 and
hoping that it will make it into upcoming Debian 13 on time.

Thank you very much and best wishes

Hi, d/watch works, as you can see now, you just have to wait because it might take up a few days to do a new check.

The previous weekend I started preparing for the new version in git, I noticed that updating d/copyright is a waste a lot of time, especially for the many false positives generated by the checks due to the citation of the main license of the program in the header comment in files that do not contain such license. I think this part is superfluous but if you really want to cite the name of the project in each file you could do it anyway but maybe without specifying the license that could also be different from the specific one of some files.

I only ran automatic tests with salsa and not program installation and use testing, should I prepare and test update for other packages that I maintain before the freeze.

Are there any relevant fixes in the new version? (I haven't followed the development recently) if you want the upload could you try the new package on Sid? Before asking a DD to sponsor the upload I would like to be sure that it works correctly and there are no problems, but maybe I don't have time to try it myself before the freeze.
