Hello Andreas,

let me ask a few devil's advocate questions:

Another criteria for Package Salvaging (according to [1]) is: "Note that
the process is only intended for actively taking over maintainership."
Given the big amount of ITS bugs you report, I wonder if this is given.
If so I wonder further if

        Maintainer: Package Salvaging Team <team+salv...@tracker.debian.org>
        Uploaders: Ilyas Gasanov <torso.n...@gmail.com>

is really suitable.

Is "package is not maintained on Salsa" considered a QA issue?

Are there newcomers working on packages highlighted by the Bug of the
Day initiative? Are newcomers expected to pick one of the highlighted
packages themselves, or only after they are imported in the Salvaging
Team? Now that you fixed all the QA issues you're aware of, you took all
the low-hanging fruits for a newcomer to work on this package?

Best regards
Uwe
