A similar bug report was filed at Ubuntu. The user there has been able
to verify that merely downgrading 3 GS packages (ghostscript, libgs9,
libgs9-common) to 9.53 restored operation.

Can users here at Debian perform the same check? If downgrading these
3 Ghostscript packages fixes it, we'll know for sure that GS is what
causes this.
