Hello Josch,
I have just uploaded a new version of the package on mentors.d.n.
It is lintian clean, I have also tested it by running some examples
provided with the documentation of the library.
As per changelog of the updated package, uploading it to Debian set
this bug as Closed.
Best regards,
Henry-Nicolas Tourneur

I am not a Debian developper so I cannot upload myself without
sponsoring/mentor.
Eventually, my objective is to enhance the user experience on the
Librem 5 smartphone from Purism by adding new packages into Debian
that
are relevant (CCing Guido Gunther regarding this).
So far, this is a bit of a domino game, which is fine: I wish to add
gnome-passwordsafe Python software into Debian, but it depends on
pykeepass.
In turn, pykeepass depends on construct >= 2.10, thus my interest in
this bug report :)
It is fine for me to package an updated version of
python3-construct.
Any advise on the best way forward are most welcome (mentors ML,
anyone here
interested to provide support, ...).
if you are willing to package the new upstream version, then I can
review and
sponsor it for you.
Thanks!
cheers, josch
