Michael, do you have any reservation there?
There is one case: someone installs a minimal system without libpam-systemd, then switches to sysvinit-core, then installs a desktop environment which pulls libpam-systemd (via polkit in most cases). In that specific scenario, apt will uninstall sysvinit-core and install systemd-sysv again. Is this something the TC has considered and is ok with? -- Why is it that all of the instruments seeking intelligent life in the universe are pointed away from Earth?
