Package: unar Version: 1.10.1-2+b1 On some machines one just cannot install unar, without making the machine rather unusable.
One would think "I just want to install an program like gunzip. Why must I give up my nvidia-legacy-304xx-driver ?" OK it seems unar also has a graphical interface. I never knew that. I only have used its command line interface. So, why no also provide a non-X version? That way one could still use it without dragging in all this extra stuff! Thanks. # aptitude install unar The following NEW packages will be installed: gnustep-base-common{a} (D: gnustep-base-runtime, D: libgnustep-base1.25) (unar D: gnustep-base-runtime D: gnustep-base-common) gnustep-base-runtime{a} (D: unar, R: libgnustep-base1.25) (unar D: gnustep-base-runtime) gnustep-common{a} (D: gnustep-base-common) (unar D: gnustep-base-runtime D: gnustep-base-common D: gnustep-common) libgnustep-base1.25{a} (D: gnustep-base-runtime, D: unar) (unar D: libgnustep-base1.25) libobjc4{a} (D: gnustep-base-runtime, D: libgnustep-base1.25, D: unar) (unar D: libobjc4) unar The following packages will be upgraded: gcc-8-base (unar D: libobjc4 D: gcc-8-base) The following packages are SUGGESTED but will NOT be installed: gnustep-base-doc (S: gnustep-base-common) The following packages will NOT be UPGRADED: libatomic1{b} (D: gcc-8-base) libcc1-0{b} (D: gcc-8-base) libgcc1{b} (D: gcc-8-base) libgomp1{ab} (D: gcc-8-base) libitm1{b} (D: gcc-8-base) liblsan0{b} (D: gcc-8-base) libmpx2{b} (D: gcc-8-base) libquadmath0{b} (D: gcc-8-base) libstdc++6{b} (D: gcc-8-base) libtsan0{b} (D: gcc-8-base) 1 packages upgraded, 6 newly installed, 0 to remove and 10 not upgraded.
