Package: loop-aes-source Version: 2.2d-5 Severity: important Justification: fails to build from source
*** Please type your report below this line *** I have a plain Debian Sarge system, with all updates from s.d.o. I use a vanilla kernel with the grsec patch. With Linux 2.6.11.12 everything is okay and the loop-aes module can be build with make-kpkg. When I try to upgrade to 2.6.13 or 2.6.14 the build fails on the very first file after many warnings. The last lines of make looks like this: warning: passing arg 1 of `atomic_dec_and_test' from incompatible pointer type /usr/src/modules/loop-aes/tmp-d-kbuild/patched-loop.c:1348:5: warning: "CONFIG_BLK_DEV_LOOP_KEYSCRUB" is not defined /usr/src/modules/loop-aes/tmp-d-kbuild/patched-loop.c:1827:5: warning: "CONFIG_BLK_DEV_LOOP_KEYSCRUB" is not defined /usr/src/modules/loop-aes/tmp-d-kbuild/patched-loop.c: At top level: /usr/src/modules/loop-aes/tmp-d-kbuild/patched-loop.c:726: warning: `loop_issue_flush' defined but not used make[5]: *** [/usr/src/modules/loop-aes/tmp-d-kbuild/patched-loop.o] Error 1 make [4]: *** [_module_/usr/src/modules/loop-aes/tmp-d-kbuild] Error 2 I do not really understand why the make fails. With the Sid version of loop-aes-source everything compiles like a charm.
