If you know what it is for, it fits. But if you'd have to guess by just
seeing the option, I'm not sure if you guess that it relates to the
exit code only...
I'm not very fond of it either. But --exit-code is also not guessable,
and --also-report-via-exit-code is way too long.
If it's not going to be possible to guess what the option means anyway,
and since we anticipate it'll be often-used, maybe a short option would
serve better? "-e" comes to mind (akin to shell's "-e").
