I wrong to open bug for package systemd? Yes. So, the manpage crypttab(5) does not document a timeout parameter at all. Only systemd’s crypt device support has the timeout parameter, but that won’t trigger for devices mounted in the initramfs, since we don’t use systemd in the initramfs (yet).
