We got to a place where we're hammering out something we're all happy with only in the context of a decision-making process and two failed votes, and only by discussing options that one of the parties to the discussion has explicitly rejected as unacceptable. Look, I've been involved in Policy work for years now. I think I have a pretty good intuition for what sort of questions can be dealt with usefully in that framework and which ones can't. You're certainly entitled to think that I'm wrong, but it's unlikely that I'm going to change my mind on this particular question, since I don't think it's even close. It's hard to avoid the feeling that you'd rather not have the TC discuss this question since the TC is arriving at a conclusion that you don't like. That's understandable, but I don't think the results are going to be any more to your liking regardless of the forum, whether it be the TC, a GR, or Policy.
