Maybe it could be easier to debug it through gdb:
Could you install chromium-browser-dbg (sorry it's a ~500MB package)
then run :
$ chromium-browser -g
# you will get a gdb prompt after one or two dozen of seconds
$ gdb> run --single-process
# It should segfault
$ gdb> bt full
Could you us send the result of 'bt full' ?
