Package: dante-server
Version: 1.1.14-2
Severity: important

I'm using dante-server with a PAM based authentication method, linked to
winbind to be able to authenticate the users against my NT domain.

I recently tried to upgrade to dante-server 1.1.18, and it breaks the
authentication using PAM. Here are the logs
Oct 3 23:12:31 dns pam_winbind[8755]: request failed: Wrong Password, PAM
error was 7, NT error was NT_STATUS_WRONG_PASSWORD
Oct 3 23:12:31 dns pam_winbind[8755]: user `test' denied access (incorrect
password or invalid membership)

The winbind based PAM authentication works perfectly when I used it
with smbclient. (/etc/pam.d/sockd and /etc/pam.d/samba contains the same data)

When I revert to 1.1.14, using the same conf file, here are the logs :
Oct 3 23:08:15 dns pam_winbind[4633]: user 'test' granted access
Oct 3 23:08:15 dns pam_winbind[4633]: user 'test' granted access
Oct  3 23:08:15 dns danted[4633]: pass(1): tcp/connect [: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ->
login.icq.com.5190

I will try to find some time to look at the dante sources to find any
significant differences.

Any idea ?
