Hmm, this is strange. I assume you did alter the search after disabling the
debtags plugin?

Correct. 

Thanks for your efforts. At least I know that there is something odd that
has nothing to do with a special plugin. I will try to find the reason for
this, if I will have no success perhaps I will close the bug with the "won't
be fixed" state, even though I would hate to do this.
