Exactly. Nobody has yet `diverted' to do that for the CJK ranges --
I've just done a single CJK cmap file for proving the concept of
cmap.sty (since I've added the code to cmap.sty so that it cooperates
with the CJK package :-). Volunteers welcome.

Hopefully, pdftex will soon provide similar functionality.
