Should that option be -vv or -VV. I have run with -vv and it didn't object,
but perhaps it didn't give me all the info. I found -VV in the howto

Please send the raw cue sheet as send to the drive by cdrecord.
This is printed by cdrecord if you use cdrecord -vv
