If you can find people genuinely versed in patent law in Europe to argue these things won't hold up in court, I'm prepared to listen. Its wouldn't really change anything we do, though. Would you want to be the guinea pig arguing this in court? Do you have the financial resources to? Let's just get this straight. This project will *not* sanction the use of G.729, G.729.1, AMR or AMR-WB, without proper patent licencing. G.723.1 should be out of patent protection within a year (I forget the exact dates). I intend to add a G.723.1 codec when that happens, even though G.723.1 is not a great codec.
