I think it's probably worth putting a Note in the book, for people who use libjpeg-turbo to upgrade from jpegsrc.v8c or later [ I'm currently upgrading my old LFS-6.6 system, that started with v8b and libjpeg.so.8.0.2 which is what turbo also provides ]. What seems to be unusual about this change is that by going to a variant package the library version is nominally older and although the .so is changed, the .so.8 isn't. If anything does break, the two choices are to recompile whatever broke against libjpeg-turbo's headers, or to rebuild firefox/xulrunner with the shipped jpeg. So backups are always good, but I think it is unlikely that anything will break. ĸen -- das eine Mal als Tragödie, das andere Mal als Farce -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/blfs-support FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
