Unless anybody points to something else soon, I think those are the only packages using rust. Meanwhile: librsvg builds fine, seamonkey too, but firefox-62.0 didn't. Google and FreeBSD brought me to https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1479540 with the patch visible at https://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/36f4ba2fb6f5 With that applied, 62.0 builds fine both with our current rustc-1.25.0 and with 1.29.0. I was thinking that my next step on this odyssey would be to build rustc-1.29.0 on a 4-core machine (to measure it). But phoronix reports llvm-7.0 is now tagged, but will probably not be released for a few days to give them time to build binaries - original at http://lists.llvm.org/pipermail/llvm-dev/2018-September/126164.html So I guess I won't try building 1.29.0 until 7.0 is out. ĸen -- Tout est bien, tout va bien, tout va pour le mieux qu'il soit possible -- Candide, de Voltaire (Everything is for the best, in the best of all possible worlds) -- http://lists.linuxfromscratch.org/listinfo/blfs-dev FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
