Hi Christopher, For xindy, as I think I said, I was unable to get clisp to find libsigsegv (when both are built in the texlive tree) when I followed their instructions. I've just started to look at Robby Workman's SlackBuild. Eventually, I realised that the texmf part is a separate download (from the same place as the source : 1.7 GB!). I will be giving that a go shortly (without _any_ patches for the first attempt) : the great thing about building in /opt/texlive is that I can bind-mount spare directories, so I should eventually be able to compare what does and doesn't get installed. Meanwhile, I'm still looking at biber - in the end, I decided to be anal about what perl module would get installed (this is LFS, after all) so I'm still working through their deps and it is going to take me some time to sort out a build order - and that is with my preferred _old_ libwww-perl which has far fewer deps than the current version, I guess I will move to the current version and add its deps to my own builds. But more eyes are always welcome, and different people get different insights. Whatever we do, I think it will be 7.7 material. Do you use TeX ? The only testing I do is with my test files, and it took me long enough to get those to work 8) I noticed that some biber scripts use ruby, but my minimal test of (binary) biber works without ruby, so I think that my test coverage is quite minimal. ĸen -- Nanny Ogg usually went to bed early.
