do you mean synthetic doubles? I'm guessing that the hardware isn't
going to gain the much wider multipliers necessary to support doubles
at the same latency as singles...
The next gen of hardware will support native double precision (AFAIK).
I've heard it should be out this year, but I'm sure Mass can't comment
on it.
