Me and Howard worked together on this issue. There is no separate license
required for smart IT. User can have fixed or floating license.

Important part is permission that controls whether you want to login to
smart IT as an administrator or Agent.

Hope this helps.

My understanding is that there wasn’t a separate license required for
SmartIT, it just uses the underlying ARS/ITSM licenses. I see SmartIT as
just an alternative Mid-Tier in that respect (no separate user license
required for MT vice user tool). I have no idea why changing the user from
float to fixed would suddenly grant access.

**

All,

Does anyone know what AR license user license needed for Smart-IT. I just
tried to give access to a user (who has all kinds of incident licenses, as
well as others) and a floating AR user license and he had no access. All I
did was give him a fixed one and it worked great.

Any ideas?
