What value were you expecting?
The normal way to use $LASTCOUNT$ is within one or two ACTL firing on the same
action:
ACTION 1:
Set-Fields: (some query)
dummy = $1$
ACTION 2:
Set-Fields: CURRENT FORM
records in search = $LASTCOUNT$
