On your dev server, change the outbound mail port to something bogus - like 255 - instead of SMTP standard 25. Mails can't get out, and you can examine them all in AR System Email Messages.
You'll need an escalation to delete the old ones after you test and before you change the port back to 25.... Doug ..... Original Message .......
