Hi Kathy,

If it's a windows system, you can try to add the IP  address and FQDN of the 
system in the hosts file. Some VPN's don't resolve DNS  properly.
It might look something like this...

192.168.0.3    ARSERVER.HOST.COM

the file should be in  

c:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

Have them try this and  reboot.
