yeah, easy about the beer. You can mock our military, weather, olympics
record (except hockey), igloos etc but never mock our beer or Tim
Hortons coffee.

One night at the Cambie in Vancouver and a Tim Hortons in the morning
and you'll trade in your American Passports faster than you can say
EH!!!

Rick,

Never insult a Canadian's beer or we have to challenge you to

a hockey match.

Much as I would have loved to help host an event in Toronto,

at least it is in Canada this year, and in a spectacular setting.

Vancouver is practical in terms of getting the folks from the bay area

to be able to drop by.

If I can deal with Texas at 110F, the Texans can deal with the wilds

of the Canadian West, even our full strength beer. At the beginning

of November it should be between oh, 35 and 70F give or take.

Bring your dryza-bone from Australia for it though.

cheers ... Daniel

Well. Vancouver's a beautiful city, and right up the road from my
place, but I kinda question the timing - weather can be kinda nasty
sometimes in the late fall up there. I'm thinking BMC said "7.5 is due
out next fall - let's time the BUG around that. Where should we go -
someplace where it's warm, or someplace where it's cold?" And the
Texans went with cold. They have no idea...

You will want a passport, not because getting into Canada is a problem -
it's getting back into the USA that can be dicey without it even now,
and it will be a requirement by then. You will want a raincoat,
probably one with a zip-out liner.

Oh, yeah, the food up there is great, but the beer sucks.
