I know it seems kind of a cliche answer, but have you bounced the client that 
Administrator was running on?  If that doesn't work, I'd try moving up to the 
server, and see if recycling the service there clears it.  It may be a DB 
thread that needs to be killed, but I'd be careful about that - consult your 
DBA before doing.

Good Evening Listers, 
        I was performing a database synch using the Remedy admin tool and I 
closed the window out for the administrator tool, in which the window froze for 
about 1 minute.  When it did unfreeze and the window did close I was unable to 
access Remedy through the Admin tool or the user tool.  I would receive an 
error stating Misc.tli error.  After checking the AR log files I found he 
following messages:

Attempting to terminate the server process /arserverd 

AR Server terminated when a signal exception was received by server (ARNOTE 20) 

I tried to restart the arserver in which it failed also several times 

Any input is better than where I am right now.......

Server: Red Hat (Linux) 
Database: Oracle 9.0 
Remedy ARS 6.3 
Helpdesk 6.0.0
