Subject: AR Server Failing and will not restartGood Evening Listers,
I was performing a database synch using the Remedy admin tool and I closed the window out for the administrator tool, in which the window froze for about 1 minute. When it did unfreeze and the window did close I was unable to access Remedy through the Admin tool or the user tool. I would receive an error stating Misc.tli error. After checking the AR log files I found he following messages:Attempting to terminate the server process /arserverd
AR Server terminated when a signal exception was received by server (ARNOTE 20)
I tried to restart the arserver in which it failed also several times
Any input is better than where I am right now.......
Current Environment
Server: Red Hat (Linux)
Database: Oracle 9.0
Remedy ARS 6.3

Title: AR Server Failing and will not restart
**
Abdullah:
It
appears that stopping the Administrator tool caused a problem with the arserverd
process that it could not recover from. This caused the arserverd process
to terminate abnormally and then it restarted. I would restart the
database synchronization process, but not close out the Administrator tool until
the process completes. This may take several hours to over one day
depending on the load on the ARS server system and the number and sizes of the
schemas installed on your system.
