I grew up in Phildelphia, but WLS has a clear channel license (at
night) so after dark I could listen in. It helped that I was using an
excellent AM car radio from a 1950s Cadillac that I had modified to
run on house current.

I used to listen to WLS (Chicago) from where we vacationed in northern
Minnesota back in the 60s. Art Roberts (this has been a work of Art)
came on around 10PM, and Dr. D. was around midnight.
