Again, we are going away somewhere, anyway, doctor's name and registration number is not available on any UDID card printed so far. And Railways know this, they are even trying fixing this without asking such things in their application if the person is blind and applies with UDID card. It is as simple as this. where is lapse here? What disentitlement? If so, Why noone spoke about this on this platform so far, just railways is asking doctor and registration number for online concession certificate, is this sudden awakening? Persons with various disabilities are happily benifitting by travelling in almost all states using this UDID card, many people are employed as disabled, Pan India with UDID card and disability certificate as concrete proof of their disability. Why is such intimidation then? The Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD), Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment is distributing this card for at least last 10 years now. Why even they did not feel any need of keeping these things printed on UDID card? I'm not sure but it appears that Even disability certificates do not have this doctor name and registration number on it. Are we going to suggest to the department of Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment to issue fresh UDID cards and disability certificates with doctor name and registration number printed on it just for the sake of simple Railway application error? In short, instead of making things complicated, we should try simple, suitable and feasible approach.
