Start by uninstalling the NVidia driver, removing /etc/X11/xorg.conf, and finishing the upgrade. Install the NVidia driver only if you are not pleased with the default modesetting driver's behavior, and you find the alternative Nouveau driver isn't adequate either. 3.2 is Wheezy's kernel. The Stretch kernel is 4.9. -- "Wisdom is supreme; therefore get wisdom. Whatever else you get, get wisdom." Proverbs 4:7 (New Living Translation) Team OS/2 ** Reg. Linux User #211409 ** a11y rocks!
