This is not an actual proposal to apply this patch, I just wanted to
start discussion on what we could do if we really want to eliminate the
silly 'we have to have this #define' stuff in our configuration.
Are there existing #defines that we require for all X servers? Is RENDER
one of them?
I dunno.
But if we go for it, we're going have an implementation that "exceeds"
the protocol. Is that valid?
