Hi It's not that general, for some things (like notification items) are more tied to the DISPLAY, while others (e.g. controlling your media player, accessing some PIM server, talking to Telepathy) are usually connected with the SESSION. I might want to run an app on a remote display while still talking to services in the local session (a Telepathy-based IM client is the most obvious example). So what we definitely need is two buses --- a session bus _and_ a display bus. Because these are two independent scopes.
