Only difference from last patch is to fix a typo where "/font" was mistakenly
replaced with "/span" outside an html command.

Changes the on-line build instructions to fix errors, enable libinput, and
remove compilation of stuff that is available from repositories on modern
systems, and to add a page showing exactly what was typed on Ubuntu 12.04
to get it to compile.

I also tried to add hints to the basic build directions as to where to
find the code you may need to compile to make dependencies work, and
links to projects home pages and git repositories.

To reduce review effort this can be split after patch 4 or 5 and only those
applied. Most questionable information (ie my guesses) are in patch 6 and 7, so
I am ok with improving or dropping these patches.
