Ok, this was my fault, sorry. I think I must have stopped the build during one of the "Starting virtuoso" pauses (where it looks like nothing is happening), thinking it had finished. Though it seemed to install fine it obviously hadn't got round to building all of the packages yet. Working nicely now, thanks for the help. alf
