Long time vim operator here (for more than half my life).

I believe sourcehut [1][2] would be a great service to consider to host
and/or mirror vim's source code.

In comparison, sourcehut has a very fast and snappy user experience with
their web based interface.

sourcehut's lead is also based in Amsterdam!

for this reason, i suggest sourcehut.  one can host either git or
mercurial repos with the sourcehut platform.  the platform is also
designed around plaintext mailing list workflows.

i really do hope the folks in charge of this project seriously consider
this as an option.
