FYI: the problem about the port not being parsed correctly was due to
PEBCAK: I had a ProxyPass directive in the default virtualhost which was
being activated (even though I thought that my other Virtualhost config
is being called).
Sorry for sending you on a wild goose-chase. I will shortly try out the
proposed patch to see if that solves the unix socket problem.
