Morning, I have reproduced the problem discussed here (single file externals cause mergeinfo on directories and files containing file externals): http://svn.haxx.se/dev/archive-2010-08/0088.shtml in the latest version of the 1.6.x branch, which is affecting a repo in our production environment.
Reason for the mail is I can't find a bug reference for this, wondered if anyone knew? Appears to me that this makes single file externals pretty much a non-starter if you also use branching/merging... is that fair to say?
