Is the plug-in really necessary? Thunderbird can handle calDAV, cardDAV,
etc. out of the box.

did anyone test the new TB LTS release with SOGo plugin yet? Is there a
timeline for TB 140 support?
I had a (very) quick look and unfortunately it seems like we need some
adjustments to make the plugin work.
I would happily volunteer to do some testing to aid with the development
but I don't have any relevant experience to develop the necessary patch.
