I assume you mean ^[[[200~ copied text ~ appears in your paste contents.

The only time I see this with Gnome Terminal. If you...

1. CTRL-SHIFT-C
2. then CTRL-V
3. then remember it's CTRL-SHIFT-V

The preceding CTRL-V does something to the terminal input, I think it's
just a literal ^V in the buffer.
