Thanks for the bug report. What you are seeing isn't a compositor freeze but rather just the app window failing to get a new texture. The compositor assumes there is one so it doesn't render the pixels underneath and you get a flickering mess of previous frames...
1. Does it happen with any other apps? 2. Please run: gnome-extensions list --enabled and tell us what is listed. ** Summary changed: - Xorg freeze + Window frozen when maximized ** Package changed: xorg (Ubuntu) => mutter (Ubuntu) ** Changed in: mutter (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2105971 Title: Window frozen when maximized To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mutter/+bug/2105971/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
