I added a systemd unit to stop autofs before going into suspend and start autofs again after resume. I haven't had any freezes with gdm3 anymore. But there is still a difference between Ethernet and Wifi. When connected to Wifi, it takes some seconds longer to unlock the user session. It seems gdm3 is waiting for an active network sonnection.
