Ok, I found the problem. Your asking for xorg.conf led me to it. It seams during the driver install, it was giving a "no such line '0' in xorg.conf" error that I overlooked. Even with this error, it reported everything OK at the end. This was due to the blank xorg.conf file I created with touch. I just put a newline in and the config file ran without error. After rebooting, I could configure the touchscreen and everything works fine.
Anyone needing to install the eGalax touchscreen drivers, here's what's needed: Install the input-mouse package and create /etc/X11/xorg.conf with a blank line. Run setup.sh, reboot and run eGalaxTouch to configure the touchscreen. Reboot once more and the touchscreen should be working as should. -- eGalax based touchscreen and xorg https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/442645 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
