further testing the monitor is detected as "Unknown".. it is a bit of a no brand being a AOC 17" LCD lm726 (http://www.compucon.com.au/lcd/AOC726.htm).. I cannot remember now what it was detected as before but I will note this when hopefully it returns
If I plug in my 19" MAGvision LXL-940DM and restart the box It is detected fine and displays a nice res of 1280x1024 but it is detected as a "XXE 17"" in the Display applet.. strange it thinks its a 17 inch monitor.
