i tried installing kernel 3.6.3-030603-generic but it did not boot. i went back to original 3.2.0-33-generic and tweaked a few settings in CompizConfig Settings Manager, Unsettings and disabled all video drivers and so far no freezing since this morning. i will keep an eye on it for a week and report again on the progress :) . System monitor app in Ciaro -Dock shows 25-35% cpu usage and im typing this post(google chrome) and watching music videos in (Vlc).
