@ArdyFalls: "from NVIDIA" is not very specific. Are you sure it is the version 275.09.04? See comment #74 (by me), which includes working links.
I recommend installing the packages from the PPA, because the Nvidia installer breaks Ubuntu's packaging system (by deleting/ overwriting files without removing the packages which contained them). In case people still doubt that 275.09.04 solves the problem: it also works perfectly for me.
