Hi, I have a laptop with similar but not equal specs. I've had issues with logging in. As soon as I logged in the entire system froze. Turned it was the driver for my graphics card. It is the same, or at least very similar as yours, NVidia 1050 GTX GeForce. It was a fresh install, the Nouveau driver froze the system, then the proprietary driver nvidia-390 didn't help either.
The only solution for me was to add the ppa from the grapchics drivers team: https://launchpad.net/~graphics-drivers/+archive/ubuntu/ppa, and install the nvidia-graphics-drvers-396 package. I don't understand these logs, I'm not technically skilled in this :-) . I only could see one line with 'failed', and your problem seems to be different, since it is on shutdown, not logging in, but since you have the same, or at least very similar graphics card, maybe it is something to look into. If you want to try it, be really sure to backup, since it is a development ppa. grtz, Bart http://www.bartart3d.be/ On Twitter <https://twitter.com/Bart_Issimo> On Identi.ca <http://identi.ca/bartart3d> On Google+ <https://plus.google.com/u/0/b/116379400376517483499/> Op ma 3 sep. 2018 om 07:58 schreef Elisabeth Hauer <[email protected] >: > Hello! > > thanks a lot for your answeres: > > @mike You had a similar bug, aha.
